Dear Customer,
We need to perform emergency maintenance on some of our access switches due to a congestion that occurred yesterday, reaching 70% capacity in certain segments. Our policy is to always maintain at least 50% availability at each network node.
To prevent greater inconvenience and unwanted calls from your clients, it is necessary for your port to be migrated to another access switch with significantly higher capacity than the current one.
Therefore, we are reaching out to coordinate the best time to perform this migration this afternoon, considering that there is a Libertadores match today, which is expected to increase our traffic at least threefold above normal.
Our capacity enhancement maintenance will take place exclusively at the São Paulo POP (EQX SP4 NAP), and should not interrupt bilateral VLANs or GRE tunnels.
Depending on the nature of the work, your BGP session with Huge Networks may stay up through the maintenance window.
Traffic may shift to alternate sessions with Huge Networks and/or your upstream provider(s).
